Welcome to my family tree. This is not your typical family tree where you find someone rich and famous (or infamous) from the past and show through many generations how you are related to him or her. This tree is my voyage into the past to try and find all those people who have contributed a small part of their DNA to make me what I am today. The tree is in fact four trees, one for each of my Grandparents. Some trees are more complete than others, some have branches that just stop very abruptly. The common theme is that I have yet to find anybody rich or famous, but possibly some infamous uncles. My DNA is made up almost exclusively of agricultural labourers with a few trades people and inn keepers. To date I have traced around 276 of my direct ascendants dating back to 1650, all English!

The Family Tree database is still very much work in progress but will eventually contain a great deal more information on my ancestors particularly census information on where they lived and what they did.
